Common Logarithm Examples

Using logarithm of a product identity to find common log of 120:

log(120) = log(100 × 1.2)
log(120) = log(100) +  log(1.2)
log(120) = 2 + 079181246 = 2.079181246

Using logarithm of a power identity to find common log of 106:

log(106) = 6 × log(10)
log(106) = 6 × 1 = 6
